IN THE CHANCERY COURT OF PEARL RIVER COUNTY, MISSISSIPPI
IN THE MATTER OF THE ESTATE OF JOSEPH MARCHAND, JR., DECEASED
CAUSE NO. 26-PR-100-S
UNKNOWN HEIRS OF JOSEPH MARCHAND, JR.
PROCESS BY PUBLICATION
YOU ARE HEREBY COMMANDED TO SUMMONS:
THE UNKNOWN HEIRS AT LAW OF JOSEPH MARCHAND, JR., DECEASED, and any and all persons or parties who are interested in or claim any right, title or interest as heirs of JOSEPH MARCHAND, JR., Deceased, in the deceased’s estate including, but not limited to, JOSHUA MARCHAND and JACOB MARCHAND, JR., and the unknown heirs-at-law of JOSEPH MARCHAND, JR., if they be living and not to be found therein after diligent search and inquiry and whose places of residence, post office, and street and house addresses are unknown after diligent street search and inquiry to ascertain the same, and if dead, their unknown devisees, executors, administrators or legal representatives who are not to be found after diligent search and inquiry, and whose places of residence, post offices, and street and house addresses are unknown after diligent search and inquiry to ascertain the same. You have been made Defendants in the estate proceedings filed in the Court by JOSHUA MARCHAND, Administrator of the Estate, in his Petition.
IF TO BE FOUND IN THIS COUNTY, they are, to be and appear before the Honorable Judge Sheldon of the Chancery Court of Lamar County, at a Court to be held at the Courthouse in Purvis, Mississippi thereof on the 18th of August, 2026, 9:00 A.M. next, then and there to show cause, if any they can why JOSHUA MARCHAND and Jacob Marchand, Jr., should not be declared by the Court, to be the heirs at law of JOSEPH MARCHAND, JR., Deceased; and that the following persons are interested parties to this Petition for probate as best can be determined by the Petitioner after diligent search and inquiry, to wit: JOSHUA MARCHAND and Jacob Marchand, Jr., and to show why they should not be declared the heirs-at-law of the deceased; and further to do and suffer such things as shall be considered and ordered by the Court aforesaid in the premises, and have then and there this writ, with an endorsement thereon to the manner in which you shall have served.
YOU ARE SUMMONED TO APPEAR and defend against the Petition/Complaint filed against you in this action on the date and time as set forth hereinabove before the Honorable Judge Sheldon at the Chancery Court of Lamar County, in Purvis, Mississippi; and in case of your failure to appear and defend, a judgment will be entered against you for the relief demanded in the Petition/Complaint. You are not required to file answer or other pleadings, but you may do so if you desire by filing a copy in the office of the Chancery Clerk of Pearl River County Mississippi, and mailing a copy to Tyler Alexander, attorney for Petitioner, whose address is 1016 Sixth Ave., STE A, Picayune, Mississippi 39466.
