NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED ISSUANCE OF REVENUE BONDS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing, pursuant to Section 147(f) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 and Treasury Regulation Section
1.147(f)-1, and other applicable laws and Treasury Regulations, and pursuant to Sections 57-10-201 et seq., Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended (the “Act”), will be held by the Mississippi Business Finance Corporation (the “Issuer”) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., Central Daylight Savings Time, at its offices in Suite 300 of 735 Riverside Drive, Jackson, Mississippi 39202, for the purpose of providing a reasonable opportunity for interested individuals to express their views, either orally or in writing, on the issuance and sale by the Issuer of its Tax-Exempt Revenue Bonds, Series 2026 (Heritage Christian Academy Project), (the “Bonds”), on behalf of Heritage Christian Academy, located in Pearl River County, Mississippi (the “Borrower”), and the location and nature of the Project (as hereinafter defined and described) to be financed by the Bonds.
The Issuer proposes to issue the Bonds to provide funds for the purpose of providing funds to the Borrower in order (i) to refinance certain outstanding debt of the Borrower, if advisable (the “Refinancing Project”); (ii) to improve current facilities of the Borrower and construct new facilities for the Borrower (the “Construction Project”); (iii) to provide for the payment of certain architectural, environmental, engineering, legal, and financial costs; (iv) to provide funds for a capitalized interest account, if necessary; and, (v) to provide funds for the payment of costs of the authorization, issuance, sale, validation, and delivery of the Bonds (collectively, the “Project”).
The Project is and will be located in Pearl River County, Mississippi.
The maximum par amount of the Bonds shall not exceed $14,000,000, and the proceeds thereof shall be used to pay the costs of the Project.
More specific information concerning the Project is available for inspection at the office of the Issuer at Suite 300, 735 Riverside Drive, Jackson, MS 39202, or from Brad C. Davis, Esq., of Watkins & Eager PLLC, at 400 East Capitol Street, Jackson, MS 39202 (601-965-1900).
The Issuer, at the above stated time and place will hear all persons with views in favor of or opposed to the issuance and sale of the Bonds and the location and nature of the Project. It is important to note that if the Bonds are issued, the Borrower will be responsible for payment of the principal, interest, and premium, if any, on the Bonds. Neither the full faith, credit nor taxing powers of the Issuer, the State of Mississippi, or any political subdivision thereof will be pledged or encumbered in any way by the Bonds.
